Start School Later – A group of health professionals, sleep scientists, educators, parents, students and other advocates working to ensure that all public schools can set hours compatible with health, safety, equity and learning. They have an amazing wiki with links to numerous evidenced based research articles. They also serve as a centralized launching pad for local chapters who are advocating for later start times in their regions and communities. Check out Minnesota Chapter – Facebook page
Blueprint for Change – This is an in-depth look at the school districts across the country who have successfully adopted later school start times. This project looked at the process by which these school districts considered, approved and implemented school start time changes.
Superintendent Recommendations (Video) – Ken Dragseth (former superintendent of Edina), Chace Anderson (Wayzata), Scott Thielman (Buffalo/Hanover/Montrose) and Keith Jacobus (South Washington) share their experience with adjusting school start times and make recommendations to colleagues at their annual professional conference in 2016, Minnesota Association of School Administrators (MASA).
